This is what I would like you do to today.
1. Collect 2 or 3 definitions of key terms that you are using in your research ‘Representation’, ‘Genre’ etc. Try to find definitions by academics rather than by weirdos on the internet.
2. Identify one piece of primary research that you are going to undertake. Try to be specific about:
What/Who/Where/When/Why/How
3. Find some useful sources on http://www.amazon.co.uk/ (look inside) or http://books.google.co.uk/ or http://scholar.google.co.uk/
You don’t need to read them all but you need to start identifying what’s out there. Feel free to buy any books but you can also request books from the Media dept…..Leave the link as a comment.
